Shane Kirk > What a great light show! This was taken in Lenexa, Kansas on the 16th of August, 2009.
Shane Kirk > Taken August 23rd,2008 in St.Joseph, Missouri. I took this shot from under a bridge because the rains were too heavy. The strikes got way too close and I left soon after this shot.
Shane Kirk > Taken on June 23rd, 2009 in Overland Park, Kansas. A sinlge isolated thunderstorm was quite a light show!
Shane Kirk > Taken on August 8th, 2007 in Bethany,Missouri. I will never forget this early morning storm. I left my house around 7:00 p.m. and took photos off and on for almost eight hours! I got a call from my wife while standing in a field shooting this storm. She asked if I had planned on coming home before work. When I asked her what time it was she said 3:30 a.m.! Time flies when you're having fun! I was two hours from home and had to be to work at 8:00!

Shane Kirk > Taken on June 22nd in Bucyrus,Kansas. I set the alarm for 3:00 a.m. to check doppler and this cell was very small but I decided to get out anyway.I'm glad I did! Almost all of my shots were with lightning going across the sky.I only had one shot with a strike hitting the ground.
Shane Kirk > This shot was taken early a.m. on June 4th,2008 in Leawood,Kansas. It was pouring the whole time I shot this evening. I took the van and opened the sliding door and folded myself like a pretzel so I could shoot without holding the umbrella! Vans are great for photographing while it's raining!
Shane Kirk > July 14th, 2007 in Olathe, Kansas.Probably the best light show to date for me. I had over 75 shots of lightning and took over 400 shots total that day from Weston,Missouri to this my final stop.
