Shane Kirk > What a day! This was taken on June 20th, 2009 near Lebo, Kansas. This storm had several funnel clouds and a tornado. I chased this cell for a few hours. It was amazing to watch as it developed into a pretty wicked storm! Definitely the best chase to date!
Shane Kirk > This was taken on July 14,2007 in Farley,Missouri.
Shane Kirk > Taken July 14th,2007 in Kansas City,Kansas. My second stop shooting this spectacular storm! This cloud formation was the hot topic for days as it was right over the city!
Shane Kirk > June 5th, 2008 near Maryville, Missouri. Outflow boundary with a flash from lightning in the distance. Talk about windy! This same storm had a few tornado warnings on it earlier in the day and there were weather spotters everywhere! On my way back home there was a tornado warning in Savannah,Missouri and I just so happened to be driving through! I pulled over under an overpass just in case! Not the smartest place to be but I'd rather take my chances there than to drive on the highway into something! The lightning would light-up the sky and there were some VERY low clouds and lightning extremely close. A very eerie feeling.
Shane Kirk > Taken July 14th, 2007 in Olathe, Kansas. This was right at sunset. I chased this storm for hours and stayed at this location to shoot lightning from another storm cell that moved right in my direction. A storm I will never forget!
Shane Kirk > This was taken in Lee's Summit,Missouri. The winds from this storm were amazing!I stayed as the front passed over me.It had very little lightning.

Shane Kirk > I left for work a couple hours early so I could shoot for awhile before starting my day. There was an isolated storm and the morning sun coming-up made for some beautiful colors.
